The aim
of these monthly newsletters is to provide inspiration and a brief refuge

NEW
BEGINNING
|
|
| |
Spring
is here and it is a time of creation, growth and hope. There seems to
be something in the air.
As the mornings and evenings grow lighter and the winter frosts disappear,
there is a feeling of a new beginning. The trees are in blossom, birds
are building nests and the grass needs cutting for the first time!
It is also a great time of year to look back on those New Years resolutions,
to review your progress and take any corrective action needed. Chances
are that the resolutions you made in cold and wet January are dusty and
forgotten. But now the world is bursting with the promise of a beautiful
spring and the warmth of summer, it is an ideal time to start over and
put right anything that you feel needs attention in your life - whatever
area that may be. It is time to restore the natural balance now.
You may be wondering how you can do this? Well chances are you are tired,
stressed, unfulfilled or just feel something isn't quite right in your
world. Making a fresh start begins with you. It is time to put you first.
It is allowed, you can put you first - it's not being selfish but being
sensible! If you are drained and exhausted what use are you to your family,
friends or work colleagues? It's time to start looking after yourself,
being kind to your inner self and having fun.

"He can do more for others who has done most with himself."
S.D. Gordon (American Author)

Here are some suggestions for making
the first step in extreme self care:
|
|
| |
1. |
Commit to one sacred night per week just for you. A night when you focus
100% on you. Make sure there are no interruptions and treat yourself. Use
the time to reconnect with the inner you. |
|
| |
2. |
Write
your life story. Look at all the achievements you have. Focus on the positive.
Get to know yourself and learn as you do it. Allow your mind to connect
with your feelings - 'Stop, Breathe & Feel'. |
|
| |
3. |
Give
yourself at least two treats a day. Make a list of all the things you love
and tick them off as you enjoy them. |
|
| |
4. |
Look
after the physical you. Eat nutritiously, get enough sleep and get some
exercise! |
|
| |
5. |
Get
together with some good friends and laugh. Have fun often. |
|
| |
6. |
Write
a positive affirmation for yourself - a phrase which will inspire and motivate
you, eg 'I am capable and worthy and I deserve my success' and say it 5
times over in the morning and evening. |
|
| |
7. |
Be
nice to yourself. Talk to yourself as you would a good friend. Stop the
negative self talk.
|
|
| |

This is the first step to living the life you want. As you watch the birds
building their nests, know that you are taking action to build a new life.
Take good care of yourself as the birds do their eggs. Your new life is
as full of potential as that egg is.
I don't know how easily you can begin to feel really excited as you consider
the possibilities ahead? I know during the next few days and weeks you
will pay close attention to all the ways you begin to discover the wonderful
things around you and within you.
In the next newsletter we will explore goals. You can discover how to
be one of only 3% of the population who have goals and take action to
achieve them. .
I'm
curious to discover whether you would like to
